About the 45C44

The 45C44 unit is a dual AC/DC input module that was designed and produced by Reliance Electric to be used in conjunction with the AutoMax line of products. Even though the 45C44 dual input module’s production has been stopped, it still can typically be found within our stock here at AX Control. In most cases, the 45C44 dual input module will be used as within devices that require on/off interface circuitry, such as within limit switches, selector switches, push buttons, and the logic levels that programmable controllers require. In addition to that, the 45C44 dual input module has circuitry that allows for two individually isolated input channels to be included. Both of these channels are designed to accept either an AC signal or a DC input signal that is set over a specified voltage. Whenever the input signal reaches a predetermined threshold, then the logic will be turned on. The electrical isolation of the input signal that derives from the logic signal is enabled thanks to the inclusion of photo couplers within the 45C44 dual input module.

For each of the 45C44 dual input module’s input channels, you will find two LED status indicators. There is a green indicator light that is labeled as the “POWER” indicator. This indicator light lights up whenever the particular input it represents it turned on. There is also the yellow LED status indicator, which is labeled as the “LOGIC” indicator. This indicator illuminates whenever the logic signal to the control system is turned on.
