The 45C610 unit is a memory module that was designed and produced by Reliance Electric as an attachment for the AutoMate family of programmable logic controllers. This product is no longer being produced by the original manufacturer, but it usually can be found within AX Control’s stock. 

The 45C610 memory card has 64K of data memory available on it. This allows the user to store valuable information on the card for use with the programmable logic controller that it is connected to. In most cases, the 45C610 memory card will be used for storing data register information. Also, the 45C610 memory card has its own status indicator lights and real time clock, making it a multi-dimensional, flexible device.

The 45C610 memory card is made to plug into the AutoMax PLCs and give them extra memory space. These PLCs are used for a wide range of control applications, and the 45C610 memory card allows for them to engage in these actions faster or even simultaneously. This memory card can be connected with any of the AutoMax PLCs, from the smallest model to the largest. This is because the AutoMax PLCs are all very similar despite their differences in specifications. For instance, all of these programmable logic controllers use the same software language for use in normal operation and in programming. The instruction set that each of these controller models use is a subset of the instruction set that is used with the AutoMate 40E.
