About the 45C908
The 45C908 module is part of the Shark XL series produced by Reliance Electric. This model is considered an I/O or Input/Output Module. The power supply required to properly run this model is one hundred and fifteen volts of alternating current. The main inputs on this model are ground, start, stop, HC (hydrocarbon), HR (high reliability), OV (overvoltage), and run. When inspecting the model located in the upper left-hand corner you will find the labels regarding the stop, start, ground, and run inputs, the remaining outputs are located in the upper right-hand corner of the model. There are twenty-four remaining inputs, the function of the inputs will be indicated by the indicator found in the middle of the model.
There are sixteen outputs which are along the bottom of the 45C908 model. These outputs are labeled 50 through 57 and then 60 through 67. There are six sections, which are labeled C0, C2, C2, C3, C4, and C5, only C0 through C3 actually have outputs available in these sections. The function of these outputs will also be indicated by the LED indicator in the middle of the model.
Between the two boxes which indicate how the input and outputs are functioning, there are three other LEDs on the 45C908 model; these LEDs are labeled as STR, RUN, and PWR. The PWR LED will indicate that the power supply voltages needed to correctly operate this model are being used properly.
There is a section on the left side of the 45C908 model which can be used to mount another programmable logic model in the Shark XL series.
