About the 45c35
The 45c35 is a module part for the Reliance Electric Automax Distributed Control System. This system is an ideal choice for applications that need quick millisecond response time. The AutoMax DCS is capable of data collection, complex math, and process and sequence control. It is fully compatible with the DCS 5000 Industrial Controller and links to Automate PLCs.
The 45c35 is an Automate AutoBus Interface Head Module. This module consists of a metal enclosure with openings for air circulation and an attached front faceplate, a 59005-RD network card, and an additional 59007-3H card. This is a PLC module (programmable logic controller.) It is capable of a number of control applications and works in conjunction with other AutoMate parts to create a cohesive system. The system is rated for 120/240 VAC, 0.5/0.25 A, 50/60 Hz.
The front panel of the 45c35 includes four LED indicators, including Power, Ready, XMIT, and RECV. Only the first two of these LEDs are typically lit unless there is a fault status indicated. It has a single 25V AGC 2 Amp fuse and two terminal strips. One strip is for data (data in and data out,) while the other allows for power and access to relays. The panel has four male plug connectors that are labeled zero through three.
The 45c35 is CSA and UL listed. It complies with FCC Rules Part 15 Subpart J requirements for a Class A computing device. It is important to note operation of this device in a residential area may cause surrounding interference that will need correction.
