Reliance Electric designed the 57401 unit to be a digital I/O drive for the AutoMax programmable logic controllers. This device is no longer under production by Reliance Electric. However, AX Control continues to supply the 57401 digital I/O drive and may have it in stock currently. On the front of the 57401 digital I/O drive, you will find its faceplate, which has many different components that are available for use. At the very top of the 57401 digital I/O drive, there is a total of twelve small indicator lights. These lights will illuminate whenever the labeled status is tripped so that the operator is alerted. These lights range from fault codes to regular status checks. Below these lights, you will find many rectangular I/O ports lined up vertically down the length of the drive’s faceplate. Specifically, there are twenty of these I/O ports. Located at the top and bottom of this line of I/O ports, you will find a small key slot. Both of these key slots have a total of six positions on them. The key slot on the top has the positions “B” through “D” on its left side and “E” through “G” on its right side. The key slot on the bottom has the positions “1” through “3” on its left side and “6” through “8” on its right side.
