The 57401-1 digital I/O drive is a long, thin device with a faceplate that is filled with different components. The very top and bottom of the 57401-1 digital I/O drive’s faceplate contain tabs which are used to remove the module from the rack in which it is placed. The top tab has the device’s model number and title printed onto it, while the bottom tab has the Reliance Electric logo printed onto it. Below the top tab of the 57401-1 digital I/O drive, there are numerous indicator lights that are each labeled with their intended functions. 

Below the drive’s row of indicator lights, you will see a row of twenty I/O ports that are central to this module’s functions. The I/O ports are each individually labeled using the letters A through I, with the letters A through G having the numbers 1 and 2 associated with them and letters H and I having the letters 1 through 3 associated with them. The 57401-1 digital I/O drive’s twenty ports have two key slots surrounding them, one on the top of the row and one on the bottom. These slots both have six positions.
