About the 57411
The 57411 is a Reliance Electric made Resolver Input Module. Baldor Reliance or Asea Brown Boveri may have also produced this module depending on when it was released. These manufacturers do not offer support for the 57411 anymore. AX Control does try to keep it in stock, however, as a reconditioned or new surplus stock item. Please check out our website for the availability status of the 57411.
The 57411 was created to be a part of the DCS 5000 system. Its main function is to tell the DCS 5000 the angular position of a resolver rotor. It has the ability to determine the position of the rotary shaft and the velocity of the device. This module can give a 12-bit resolution of one revolution and a 2-bit counter-revolution. This module can be used to interrupt the rotors on every sample.
The 57411 is a printed circuit board with a faceplate that is encased in a protective enclosure. It is typically plugged into the backplane of a DCS 5000 storage rack using the female card slots on the backplane. From there, you can secure the card into place by attaching the brackets on the rack, the brackets on the module, and two screws. The brackets on the faceplate can also be used to help you easily remove the module from the rack. The input signals coming into the board are coming in using a multiconductor cable. One end of it attaches to a terminal board and the other attaches to the faceplate connectors.
