Reliance Electric created the 57416 Remote I/O communications Digital Control System. It is possible at one point the 57416 was also manufactured by Asea Brown Boveri or Baldor Reliance. None of the original manufacturers are supporting the 57416.  However, AX Control does attempt to keep it in stock as a new surplus or reconditioned item. Please review the website to learn about the availability status of the 57416.

The 57416 is an AutoMax Remote I/O Communications Module. This module is the backbone of the AutoMax remote I/O system. This module is a necessary middleman between the remote racks and the Processor Module Master Rack. It provides the necessary hardware to facilitate communication. This card is rated at 2.5 amperes at 5VDCs.

There is an RS-232C communication port on the 57416. It can be used to test the module using a serial device. It can also show the status of the limitations that are linked with the module and the network. It also has the power to locally check on and alter the I/O points on the I/O modules on the rack it's connected to.

The 57416 has several LED indicators including a 7-segment display that displays FAULT CODE diagnostic errors. There is also an OK light that lets you know that the I/O module is working correctly. This module plugs directly into female card slots on the backplane of an AutoMax storage rack. It can then be mounted securely in place using the mounting brackets and two screws on the rack and module faceplate.
