About the 57420
Reliance Electric created the 57420 Output Module. It is possible that this module was also manufactured by Asea Brown Boveri and Baldor Reliance depending on the years it was in production.
The 57420 is a 5-24 volt DC Output Module that is meant to be a part of the AutoMax System. This system should be stored somewhere between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius and should only operate in temperatures between 0- 60 degrees Celsius. This module has a maximum power dissipation of 5.5Watts + 1.1 watts/active output. This module requires a +5 volt at 850 mA of system power. This module has 32 outputs that generate 750 milliamps per output and 1800 milliamps per common. This system has four outputs per each of the isolated common. This system has a maximum operating voltage of 30 DC volts. This device also has a 5000-volt isolation between logic commons and outputs.
The 57420 has two RS-232 connection ports labeled CN1 and CN0. The cables that are connected to these ports are two 57C376 (sold separately). These cables’ other ends connect to terminal strips that have numbered user output connections. These output connections have labeled LED indicators on the module faceplate.
This entire module mounts into an AutoMax card storage rack. You have the ability to slide the module into a pair of female card slots on the backplane of the rack. From there, you can then properly secure the module to the rack using the brackets on the rack and faceplate.
