About the 57435
The 57435 is a Processor Module created by Reliance Electric. This processor could have been also sold by Asea Brown Boveri or Baldor Reliance depending on its manufacturing dates. This processor is no longer being supported by the manufacturers, but AX Control does still try to keep it in stock. When it is in stock, we sell it as either a surplus or a reconditioned item.
The 57435 is an AutoMax 7010 Processor Module. It is a Multibus Processor. This Processor is 3-6 times faster than the 6011 Processor Module. It has 16 and 32-bit Motorola microprocessors. This card allows you the ability to mix and match different processors on an AutoMax storage rack. A total of four processors can be run on the same rack. However, if you choose to run that many processors, you will need to also install a Common Memory Module. The Run base OS was downloadable to make future upgrades possible.
The 57435 is a printed circuit card that is encased in a protective enclosure. It has a total of two female RS-232C connectors. These are labeled PORT A and PROGRAMMER/PORT B. There are also Fault Code 7-segment LED indicators with two normal LEDs labeled BAT OK and OK. There is a lithium battery on the side of the card that is not covered by the enclosure. This battery is connected to the RAM application and operating system memory. This entire module can slide into a storage rack and connect to two female card slots. This system then attaches to the rack via screwing into the brackets on the rack.
