The 57443 is an A-B Remote I/O created by Reliance Electric. There is a possibility that this I/O was sold as either an Asea Brown Boveri or Baldor Reliance part depending on what years this model was in production. This I/O is no longer being supported by any of these manufacturing companies though. AX Control does try to keep this part in stock when possible. The 57443 is an A-B Remote I/O Scanner Module that has an Adapter Mode. It was created to be a part of an AutoMax Control System. This device has the ability to link AutoMax DCS devices to devices that are on the Allen-Bradley Remote I/O local area network. This aids in allowing the AutoMax the ability to control different devices on the A-B remote network. It is typically housed in an AutoMax Multibus storage rack. 

The 57443 has another function other than serving as a linking device. The 57443 can be connected to Allen-Bradley remote I/O hardware as a scanner. In the scanner mode, this module has the ability to have 32 racks of remote I/O connected to it at one time. This module has the ability to scan analog and discrete I/O. It can also scan force inputs and outputs. There is the possibility for you to be able to select the speed rates for this device ranging from 57.6k to 230.4k baud.

The 57443 connects using Allen-Bradley cable 1770-CD to other remote devices. The AutoMax system is allowed to connect and interface to the I/O network using the scanner card’s Port Memory.
