The 57554 is a Remote I/O Interface created by Reliance Electric. This I/O was also probably sold by Baldor Reliance and Asea Brown Boveri depending on what years it was in production. This card is no longer being supported by any of the original manufacturers. AX Control does try to keep it in stock as a refurbished or surplus stock item. The 57554 was an AutoMax Remote PLC PC Board.  It is also listed as a Remote I/O Shark Interface Module. This card has the ability to connect an AutoMax Remote I/O Network with a Shark remote rack. This device is meant to be used with special software, the AutoMax Programming Executive.

The 57554 is a faceplate and printed circuit card. It does not come with a protective enclosure. This board has the ability to plug precisely into place in a female card slot that is located on a storage rack. The board’s faceplate has a total of two LED display lights. These are labeled COMM OK and CPU OK. There is a DROP NUMBER gauge on the faceplate. There is a female RS-232 connector labeled NETWORK.  This card is exposed, and you are able to see the oscillators, relays, and integrated circuits. There is also a large processing card in the center of the board.
