About the 57C329
The 57C329 is a Remote Drive Interface Head manufactured by Reliance Electric. This I/O may have also been produced under the names Baldor Reliance, Allen Bradley, and Asea Brown Boveri depending on what year it was produced. This module is no longer being supported by the original manufacturers. AX Control does attempt to keep this module in stock though as either a reconditioned or new surplus item. The main purpose of the 57C329 is to be a major hub interface between a remote I/O network and various drives. To connect the 57C329 to a station connector you must use an AMP 555053-1 bauln. From there, you can connect the 57C329 to the AutoMax remote I/O. There are three cards installed into the 57C329. This card is rated 120/240 VAC, 0.5/.25 amperes, and 50/60HZ.
The 57C329 has a set of LED indicator lights on its faceplate theta are labeled CPU READY, POWER, and RUN. There is a user-removable 250 V AGC 2-amp Fuse. There is a port for a coaxial cable to plug into, an RS-232 female connection, and a set of four I/O communication ports. There is also a terminal strip to connect interfacing modules. This device complies with the FCC Rules for being a Class A computing device. There are air vents on the sides and back of this device to help the inside electronics cool.
