About the 57C330A
The 57C330A is a module component manufactured by Reliance Electric as part of the Automax PLC line. Automax provides a wide range of network connectivity modules. The PLC line is a distributed control system, that has the capability of running ladder logic program, BASIC, and control block programs.
The 57C330A is designed to function as an Automax Remote I/O Head. This component consists of a protective metal enclosure with faceplate around two printed circuit boards (a processor board and a remote I/O communications board,) along with a power supply. The faceplate has multiple components mounted into its surface, including six LED indicators that are helpful for diagnostics. LEDs include an amber RUN LED, a green POWER LED, an amber CPU READY LED, amber FAULT MSB/FAULT LSB LEDs, and a red RAIL FAULT LED. The faceplate has a six-position terminal strip that allows for incoming power and contacts from the Ready Relay. The faceplate has a single fuse located in its surface and several connectors for RS-232 serial connections and for I/O connections.
The 57C330A is 9.40 by 5.50 by 7.55 inches (H X W X D.) The user should allow an additional two inches front to back for the connection of cables to the unit.
