The 57C385 unit is rated as being a 3.6 Volt, 2400 mA battery. It is a AA cell lithium thionyl chloride battery with a button top connector type and a shelf life of 10 years.
Upon receiving the 57C385 replacement battery from us, be sure to store it in a proper storage and follow the correct procedures. The battery, when not in use, should be stored in a container, preferable the original one, where it is safely away from any flammable materials. Be sure to keep track of how long the battery is being stored, making sure that an unused battery is not stored for longer than 10 years and to ventilate the storage area in the case of a fire. Be sure that the 57C385 replacement battery is stored at room temperature at a relative humidity of less than 65%.
To remove an old battery and install a new 57C385 replacement battery, be sure to follow the proper procedures and safety precautions as outlined in the product’s manual. Be sure to turn off the power to the system and remove all power to the rack. Loosen the screws that hole the module in the rack and remove the module from its slot. Then, take the old battery out of the holder and dispose of it in accordance with proper guidelines. Place the new battery into the slot. After doing this, reinsert the module into the correct slot within the rack. You may then reapply power to the rack. If you have done this correctly, the PLC will automatically begin its power up diagnostic procedure, where the status indicator labeled “BAT OK” will illuminate.
