The 57C400 is an Input Module created by Reliance Electric. There is a strong probability that it may have also been sold by Asea Brown Boveri and Baldor Reliance depending on what years it was in development. This module is not being supported by these original manufacturers anymore and may be hard to locate. AX Control does try to keep this item in stock though. Please consult our website for information about its availability.
The 57C400 is a 115V AC/DC, 50/60 HZ Input Module created for the DCS 5000 and AutoMax systems. This module’s basic purpose is to provide basic on/off devices with the commands needed to start and stop their processes. The devices that can be affected in such a way include pushbuttons, selector and limit switches, and relays.
On the 57C400’s faceplate, there are places where you can connect inputs. There are 16 LED indicator lights that are assigned to show the condition of these inputs. The LEDs will glow when it sees that there is a current flowing to the inputs.
The 57C400 is a printed circuit board with a faceplate that is protected by a secure chassis. This module is typically stored on a storage rack. On the backplane of the storage rack, there are female card slots that you can slide this device into. Once you have it in place, you can then use the mounting brackets on the module and the rack to secure it into place. You can also use the mounting brackets on the module to carefully remove the module from the storage rack.
