About the 57C403
The 57C403 is a Digital I/O Card Module made by Reliance Electric. This module may have possibly been sold under the Asea Brown Boveri or Baldor Reliance names based on when it was actually produced. This device is no longer receiving support from any of the manufacturers. AX Control does make an effort to keep the 57C403 in stock as a repaired or new surplus item.
The 57C403 was a part of the AutoMax Multibus I/O systems as a 115VAC High Output Module. This module has a 16-point digital I/O. It has an isolation of 2500 volts and clusters of four isolated leads. It also has keyed wire connections that will prevent it from being plugged into a different module.
The 57C403 has four banks of LED lights that have four LEDs in each bank for a total of 16 lights. These LEDs are numerically categorized from 0-15 and represent an output circuit that is being monitored. The LEDs will glow when it detects the circuit is receiving power. This module has the ability to be plugged into an AutoMax storage rack. It can slide in through the open side of the rack and be connected to the P1 and P2 bus card slots that are located on the rack’s backplane. This module can then be secured into place using two screws to attach it to the mounting brackets on the rack. The module has two brackets located on the top and bottom edge of the faceplate that you can use to remove the module from the rack.
