About the 57C405
The 57C405 is a Reliance Electric analog I/O drive module. This is a Reliance Electric/Rockwell Automation component. However, depending on the age of your component and the time of its purchase, it may have been sold to you under the company name of Baldor Reliance or Asea Brown Boveri. The 57C405 is a legacy component. However, it can still be purchased from AX Control as a new surplus or reconditioned used unit.
The 57C405 is built with an outside covering and a front faceplate. This faceplate has multiple indicators and connectors mounted into its surface. This includes a small status indicator at the very top of the faceplate that is labeled OVERSPEED CALIBRATIOn. Below this is a small female parallel port and ten USB port connections. The latter are labeled one through ten.
The top and bottom of the faceplate and the rear surface of the drive cover are populated with set screws that will help secure the drive in place during installation.
This ten-channel I/O drive is part of the Automax PLC series. More information about its use, handling, and proper upkeep may be found through Reliance manual D-2715. If this is no longer in your possession, AX Control can provide you with a duplicate copy with your completed order.
