About the 57C411
The 57C411 was created to be an Input Module by Reliance Electric. This module was possibly also made by Asea Brown Boveri and/or Baldor Reliance. None of these companies still have support for the 57C411. This part may be difficult to locate, but AX Control does try to keep it in stock as a reconditioned or new surplus item. Please check our website for the availability of the 57C411.
The 57C411 is a part of the DCS 5000 system as an Input Module. The major thing this module is meant to accomplish is being able to tell what the angular position is on a resolver rotor. It can determine this position by sensing the position of the rotary shaft and the velocity of the device. On every sample, this module has the ability to interrupt the rotors.
The 57C411 has a small bank of LED indicators that are labeled ISP OK, CCLK OK, FDBK OK, and DIRECTION. There is also a larger LED a little further down the faceplate labeled OK. It is green. There is a P3 dial labeled A, B, C, D, E, F, and G. There is also a bank of connections labeled both numerically and with -TRIG+, -COS+, -SIN+, and -IN+ REF -OUT+.
The 57C411 normally plugs into the backplane of an AutoMax storage rack. There are P1 and P2 slots on the backplane that the back of the module can slide into. You can then make the card more secure by screwing it into two brackets on the rack. There are two brackets on the faceplate that can be used to secure the card and safely remove the card from the rack.
