About the 57C413
The 57C413 is a Reliance Electric Common Memory Card. This module was sometimes also produced by Asea Brown Boveri or Baldor Reliance. This part is not being supported by any of these manufacturers anymore, but AX Control does try to keep this component in stock.
The 57C413 is a 64k word upgrade for an AutoMax System. It has a lithium battery-backed RAM that can be easily replaced. When the battery is installed into the system, the RAM has a 600 to 2000-day retention rate. When the battery is removed or is consumed it has a 130 to 400-minute retention rate. This module takes a 1.05A @5VDC backplane current load. This module has the ability to extend a single processor’s storage data.
The 57C413 is a very simple slim component. The only thing it has on its faceplate is a green LED that is labeled SYSTEM WATCHDOG. This module typically goes on the rack to the right of the power supply and goes into Slot 0 if you are using it with more than one processor. When you are configuring the rack with multiple processors, you must plug a processor into slot 1 or keep it open. If you are only using the memory card with a single processor, it can then go into any even slot that is not taken up by the power supply. However, the slot to the right of it must remain empty when it is configured this way on the rack. You can easily slide the memory module into place into the female card slots on the backplane of the rack.
