About the 57C441
The 57C441 was a Reliance Electric created Modbus Plus Module. There is a strong likelihood that this piece of technology could have been offered by Baldor Reliance and/or Asea Brown Boveri. It heavily depends on what years this module was in production. The 57C441 is no longer being maintained by any of the original companies, but AX Control tries to keep this item in stock. Please review our website for the availability standing of the 57C441.
The 57C441 was an AutoMax system component that was an Interface Module. This module allowed the user to connect the Modicon Modbus Plus network to one of their AutoMax DCS systems. The Modicon 984 programmable controllers could be used to have access to peer-to-peer connections. This connection had a max network speed of 1Mbaud. This module can support as many as 32 nodes on the actual network.
The 57C441 is a circuit board and faceplate that are held within a protecting chassis. This device makes its home on an AutoMax storage rack. It can be installed into any of the slots on the rack as long as there is a processor also installed on it. This module can talk to as many as four different processors on the same rack assembly. To install the 57C441 onto a rack you need to slide the module through the open side of the rack and into an open set of female card slots. From there, position the module on the rack using the securing brackets attached to the rack and module.
