About the 61C23
The 61C23 is an I/O Module that was created by Reliance Electric. This part may have also been produced by Baldor Reliance or Asea Brown Boveri as well. This part is no longer receiving support from any of these sources. AX Control does try to keep the 61C23 in stock.
The 61C23 was created for the AutoMax DCS system as a Local I/O Head. This system comes with a Local I/O head, a 10’ interface cable, and two retainer clips for the cable. This device can be hooked up to as many as four other devices. These devices can include an AutoMate I/O rail, and analog rail, an LED module, or a thumbwheel switch. This device has a maximum power dissipation of 50 watts with 64 I/O installed. It weighs 2.5lbs and should be only run between the environmental temperatures of 0-60 degrees Celsius. It has a line frequency of 47.5 to 63 HZ. The output for the rails is +5 VDC. It has a maximum load at 120 VAC of 5mA.
The faceplate on the 61C23 has many components included on it. It possesses 6 LED indicators. These lights are labeled POWER, COM, RAIL FAULT 0, RAIL FAULT 1, RAIL FAULT 2, and RAIL FAULT 3. This device uses a 250-volt AGC 3 Amp fuse type. It is rated +24/48 VDC. It has four 12-pin rail connections and the RAIL FAULT 0-3 LED indicators monitor these. There is also an INPUT connection that connects to a Local I/O Processor, a regular processor, or a Remote Head.
