About the 61C345
The 61C345 is an Analog Input Module that was designed by Reliance Electric. This input module could have been sold by Asea Brown Boveri or Baldor Electric depending on the production dates of this part. None of the manufacturers maintain support for this module anymore. AX Control does try to keep it in stock as a reconditioned or new surplus part.
The 61C345 is an Analog Rail I/O Module that was created for an AutoMax DCS. This module has the ability to facilitate up to 4 channels worth of analog signals. This module is rated 4-20mAs
The 61C345 has many different functions on its faceplate. It has a 12-point 4 to 20 mA input connector labeled INPUT. Under that are two green LEDs labeled PWR OK and COM OK. There is a MODE switch that is labeled Local Head and Rail. Under that are Analog Inputs these are separated into four groups of three input connections. It is numerically labeled 1-12. Next to the numbered labels, there are additional labels. 1, 4, 7, and 10 are labeled IN while 2, 5, 8, and 11 are labeled Common. 3, 6, 9 and 12 did not have any additional wording. Below that is the Input Power connection and the fuse replacement bank that lists the Fuse Type as 250V. The module case has factory-drilled holes that help circulate airflow to the internal circuitry of the module.
The 61C345 plugs into a 45C1 Digital Input/Output Rail. This rail is a space saver and allows the various modules plugged into it to be mounted sideways, allowing one to be on top of the other. Then when you mount this entire system into the storage rack, you can turn it vertically or horizontally in the rack depending on where you have space.
