About the 77C387
The 77C387 is an Automax Ethernet Interface Module. It is designed to operate either as a DCSnet Slave or as a DCSnet Drop zero, as a Master. While these components were originally fabricated and sold by Reliance Electric (sometimes referred to as Asea Brown Boveri or Baldor Reliance) this particular component is no longer available through the OEM. We do our best to maintain on-hand stock at AX Control, however, and can typically ship out modules like this within hours of your order’s receipt.
The 77C387 module weighs approximately 1.15 pounds before the addition of protective shipping material. Your shipping weight will be greater. All components purchased from AX Control are automatically warrantied at the point of purchase at no additional cost.
The 77C387 connects external devices, such as a computer, to a Reliance DCS network, using an Ethernet connection. If the module is used as a DCS master, it can transmit eight words of data approximately every 2.8 ms and maintain standard DCS diagnostic counters. When used as a DCS slave, it can be used as any drop from 1 to 55. The unit supports 32 words of input or output data per drop. As a slave, the unit can maintain standard DCS diagnostic counters. The front panel includes a 9-pin D-shell connector for creating a connection to the DCS network, an Ethernet connector, and a 3 position terminal strip.
Please refer to your original documentation from Reliance Electric for more information. Manuals and user guides will help guide you through a successful installation of this equipment as well as diagnose any diagnostic or maintenance issues.
