The 77C400 module is an Encoder/Frequency Input Rail that was made for the AutoMax PLC series by Reliance Electric. This product is no longer being manufactured by the Reliance Electric, but AX Control still regularly has it in stock. The 77C400 Encoder/Frequency Input Rail is designed to connect to AutoMax devices to the appropriate networks. There are numerous ports where the AutoMax devices can be connected on the module’s faceplate. This will be detailed further below. The 77C400 Encoder/Frequency Input Rail has an input power rating of 120 VAC.

The faceplate of the 77C400 Encoder/Frequency Input Rail has a number of components that are useful for the operator. At the top of the faceplate, there is a small port that is labeled with “Input” to its right. Below that port, there are two small indicator lights. The light on the left has the label “PWR OK” above it while the light on the right has the label “COM OK” above it. Below that, you will see a long set of sixteen ports, all of which are individually labeled and therefore each serve a different purpose. There are two more separate ports that are both also individually labeled. Lastly, there is a small fuse at the bottom which is labeled with “FUSE TYPE 250V MDQ” above it.
