About the 805401-S
The 805401-S is a 3-Slot PMI Rack assembly that was initially designed by Reliance Electric. Baldor Reliance and ABB also manufactured it as a part of their product lines but none of these companies still support it. Please consult AX Control for the availability of this rack.
The 805401-S is an AutoMax Distributed Power System Power Module Interface. The module is 50/60 Hz and 1.25/2 amps. It is a metallic box that has factory drilled air vents on the top. There is a built-in fan assembly on the bottom of the rack that helps to ensure that air is flowing to the internal components within the assembly. There are a variety of modules that can be installed into this rack but the necessary module that must be included is a PMI power supply. It will take up one of the three slots.
To mount modules into the 805401-S, you will need two screws for each of the modules. There are mounting brackets on the top and bottom of the open edges of the assembly. Slide the module vertically into the open edge of the rack and firmly slide it into an available card slot. Then take a screw and secure the top of the module to the top mounting bracket. Repeat this step for the bottom bracket.
On the back of the 805401-S are two mounting brackets so that it can be mounted onto a flat metallic surface like a panel or into a hardware cabinet. Be sure to leave space between the rack and other devices to keep the contents of the rack from overheating. This rack should be mounted vertically as should all of its contents. The assembly should be kept inside of a dry, clean, and cool environment.
