The 805405-5R unit is a Field Power module that was designed and produced by Reliance Electric. The 805405-5R Field Power module is no longer being made by the OEM, but AX Control might still have this module in stock.

The 805405-5R Field Power module is designed to provide the motor field excitation for the SD3100 power module, which was also made by Reliance Electric. This is accomplished by having the 805405-5R Field Power module integrally mounted inside of the SD3100 power module itself. The 805405-5R Field Power module is rated as having an AC input rating of 230/460 VAC and 60 Amps of electric current.

The 805405-5R Field Power module’s AC input line are connected to the L1 and L3 inputs of the SD3100 by use of the isolation transformer. This module requires a step-down transformer that is rated from 7.5 kVA to 25 kVA, which is application dependant. 

When you are installing the 805405-5R Field Power module, be sure that the environment is between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius (32 and 104 degrees Fahrenheit). The humidity should be non-condensing from 5 to 95%. If you need to replace the 805405-5R Field Power module, then you must first disconnect the power and signal cables. Then, you must unfasten the mounting screws from the mounting panel. You can then mount the replacement module and connect the power and signal cables to that one. To replace the AC input fuses, take off the 805405-5R Field Power module’s cover and remove the retaining washer nuts. Be sure to replace the fuses with only the same type of fuses. The 805405-5R Field Power module has the fuse numbers 1FU and 3FU, which are rated at 90 A and 700 V.
