About the O-57400-
The O-57400- unit is an AC/DC input module that was distributed by Reliance Electric to be used along with their PLC series entitled AutoMax. This device is no longer being manufactured by Reliance Electric, who is the original manufacturer; however, AX Control may have it in stock at this time.
The O-57400- input module possesses a total voltage rating of 115 V. This particular device was made so that it could hold up to sixteen 115 V control signals as inputs to the AutoMax system to which the module is connected. The input signals can be either AC or DC, 50/60 Hz and have 2500 V isolation logic to common, which have a total of four isolated commons that have four inputs each.
In most cases, you will use the O-57400- input module as a means to turn certain devices both on and off. For example, you may use this input module for devices such as selector switches, relay contacts, push-buttons, and limit switches.
The O-57400- input module is made up of a protective casing which has a thin faceplate and encloses a printed circuit board. The O-57400- input module has a total of sixteen LEDs that are designed to indicate to the operator the status of its inputs. There are also sixteen input circuits that are used for the AC/DC logic signals, which are each 115 Volts. The input signals are brought directly to the module using a multi-conductor cable. In addition to these, there is a female connector socket.
When installing, be sure to turn off the power to the system and then mount the terminal strip to a nearby panel. You will want to be sure that the terminal strip is fastened using the provided field wires. You will then be able to insert the O-57400- input module into the rack of the slot using a screwdriver. Attached the field terminal connector directly to this device’s mating half. After you have done every single step, you will then be able to turn the system’s power back on.
