The O-57409- unit is a 2 channel analog input module that was made to be compatible with the AutoMax racks that were made by Reliance Electric. This device is no longer available through Reliance Electric, but it may still be supplied through AX Control. The O-57409- analog input module has a total of two channels that it uses as a means of inputting analog signals to a local rack within the AutoMax system. These two channels can be converted once every 500 microseconds. In addition to that, each channel provides a 12-bit conversion rate, programmable filters, and 100% overrange. For each of these channels, you will find one isolated common. For flexibility in usage, the inputs can be +/- 1, +/- 5, +/- 10 Volts or 4-20 mA.

For most cases, a typical user will need the O-57409- analog input module for reading analog voltages from a variety of devices. This can include, for example, tachometers, process control systems, potentiometers, and drive control systems.

For installing the O-57409- analog input module, be sure to abide by the following steps to ensure normal operation. Make sure the power is off and then mount a terminal strip to a nearby panel. Then, fasten the field wires to the terminal strip. You may then, using a screwdriver, insert and secure the O-57409- analog input module into any slot in the rack. Connect the field terminal connector to the mating half present on the module and turn the rack’s power back on.
