The O-57413- is a common memory module which was designed by Reliance Electric to be used in conjunction with their AutoMax series of products. This device is no longer available from Reliance Electric, but AX Control may still have this device in our stock.

The O-57413- common memory module is a requirement whenever an AutoMax rack has more than one processor module. In this situation, the O-57413- common memory module must be placed into the 0 slot of the AutoMax rack. This module stores the configuration data that needs to be shared amongst the processors. An example of this would be the definitions of the physical I/O. This process frees the processor module memory for application tasks. In addition to that, the O-57413- common memory module arbitrates the processor modules’ access to the bus. 

The O-57413- common memory module, when used in slot 0 of the AutoMax rack, has a total of 128 kilobytes of memory. The module also can incorporate a battery-backed RAM for data storage, bus arbitration logic, and a system watchdog for multi-processing. There is an internal lithium battery and a supercapacitor that are used to protect the O-57413- common memory module from power failures. 

The O-57413- common memory module’s back side has two edge connectors that are designed to attach onto the back of the system. In addition to that, the module’s faceplate has two LED status indicators. The first status indicator light is labeled as “BAT.OK” and the bottom status indicator light is labeled as “SYSTEM WATCHDOG.”

The O-57413- common memory module weighs about 1.88 lbs. or 0.85 kg.
