About the O-57442-

The O-57442- unit is a Data Highway Plus Interface module that Reliance Electric made. This module is usually available from AX Control even though its production has been halted by Reliance Electric. The purpose of the O-57442- module is to provide the AutoMax system with the ability to connect with the Allen-Bradley Data Highway Plus network. For the user’s convenience, the O-57442- module can be placed inside of the AutoMax rack’s slots, so long as the AutoMax rack has at least a single AutoMax Processor module installed in it. In addition to that, the O-57442- module has the means to communicate with up to four total AutoMax Processor modules that are placed inside of that rack. It is important to note that the rack that contains the O-57442- module within it will appear as only one station on the Data Highway Plus network.

The module’s faceplate has its own Phoenix Combicon 6 pin connector that is used as a means of connecting to the Data Highway Plus network. This connector is meant to house a standard twin axial cable. There are also two thumbwheel switches which are utilized to set the station number for the module on the Data Highway Plus network. Understand that setting these switches to invalid octal digits, which are 8 or 9,  will result in the station number being rejected. The module error code “6” will display on the LED display on the faceplate.
