About the O-57443-

The O-57443- module is a Remote I/O Scanner Module that has its own Adapter Mode. This device was manufactured by Reliance Electric to be implemented in the AutoMax PLC series. The O-57443- scanner module can typically be seen within AX Control’s stock even though it is not being produced by Reliance Electric anymore. 

The O-57443- scanner module was created to provide a means of linking AutoMax DCS to various Allen Bradley I/O devices which can communicate using the remote I/O link. The O-57443- scanner module possesses the ability to support 57.6, 115.2, and 230.4 kbps remote I/O communication rates. Also, this module can support ½, 1, and 2 slots that address a maximum of 32 racks, which can be ¼, ½, ¾ or whole racks. The O-57443- scanner module can be used as either a remote I/O adapter or an I/O scanner. 

On the module’s faceplate, you will see a few useful components. At the top, there is a small seven segment LED display status information and error codes. Directly below the LED display, there is a small green LED. This green LED is designed to illuminate whenever the O-57443- scanner module is properly operating. At the bottom of the O-57443- scanner module’s faceplate, there is a small Remote I/O Phoenix-type connector that lets the operator connect a remote I/O link cable segment. The lowest three pins let the user connect its own daisy chain I/O cable segment. This connector is a female connector with a total of six pins.
