About the DC1-45U
DC1-45U is a basic DC1 series controller with speed control. This is a special customer model that is manufactured by Reliance Electric that is inside an open chassis. The controller specifications include a service factor of 1.0. This continuous duty unit has a load capacity of 150% for 1 minute. The controller is rated by its motor horsepower. The line voltage variations is plus or minus 10 % of the rated voltage. The maximum allowable symmetrical A-C line fault current is 10,000 amperes.
If at any point the controller motor does not rotate, there are many possible causes. There may be faulty, incorrect, or grounded wiring. The motor thermostat may be open. The current feedback jumper may be set lower than the applied motor horsepower. There may be an open or faulty manual speed or torque potentiometer. There may be an open circuit between terminals 132 and 35. In order for the drive to operate after this fault, either a jumper or normally closed remote stop device must be connected between these two terminals. The Run/Stop or Forward/Off/Reverse switch may be faulty or in the incorrect position. The reference signal may be faulty, misconnected, or miscalibrated. An incoming line fuse may be blown and/or upstream protection devices may be open. In order to correct this fault, the user must check the part of the equipment that is malfunctioning (such as a switch, wire, signal, etc.) and repair, recheck, reset, and or replace this equipment if necessary. Continue troubleshooting until the motor begins to rotate.
