Product Description

The DC2-46U is a Reliance Electric 1-2HP DC V*S Motor Controller.

The DC2-46U features a Basic plus Process control Interface. It has a 1-phase, 50/60 Hz, 115/230 VAC, 12.5 amp input rating. It also has a 10 amp 90/180 VDC output.  It has a DC field rating of 50/100 VDC and 2 amps. This controller has a 10 kA short circuit rating. This controller has an armature voltage rectifier that is full-wave and half controlled with a back diode. The back diode on the rectifier helps to enhance the armature form factor. It has several protections on it including motor load protection, line transient protection, and short circuit protection. It has the ability to be remotely started, run/jogged, or stopped.

The DC2-46U is protected in an open/plate-style chassis. The bottom of the controller is open, and the two orange terminal strips can be easily accessed. There are also five main terminals just below the orange terminal strips. There is a heatsink on the back of the controller chassis and mounting brackets. There are four large screws on the front panel of the chassis that can be removed to grant the user further access to the large controller PCB underneath it. It should be kept in an environment with temperatures between +32 to +104 degrees Fahrenheit. A relative humidity between 5-95% should also be maintained.

For more information about the DC2-46U please refer to the Reliance Electric instruction manual: D2-3231-4. Only a trained professional should try to install the DC2-46U to prevent any system damage.
