About the DC2-73U
The DC2-73U Reliance Electric Variable Speed (VS) Controller is part of Reliance Electric’s DC2 series of controllers. This controller is built within a NEMA 12 enclosure. The DC2-73U is a basic DC2 controller that includes torque control. Torque is controlled through a potentiometer. The unit has independently adjustable maximum and minimum torque as well as adjustable rate reference timing. It also includes operator controls. The until can be used with either 115 VAC or 230 VAC mains power. With this input, the controller has an output current of either 1 HP 90 VDC (at 115 VAC) or 2 HP 180 VDC (at 230 VAC.) The controller has a 97% efficiency rating and a one-minute 150% overload capacity.
Like other basic units in this series, the DC2-73U offers optional short circuit protection, line transient protection, and armature current scaling. The DC2-73U is a unidirectional device with provisions for remote stop and start, as well as for remote run and jog.
