Product Description

The DC2-80U is a Reliance Electric DC2 V*S series 1-2HP Single-Phase Drive Controller.

The DC2-80U is 12.5 amps, 50/60 Hz, 115/230 VAC. It has a maximum 65 KVA @ 115 VAC and a 32.5 KVA @ 230 VAC. It has a maximum AC line fault current of 10 kA. It has a load capacity of 150% for 1 minute.

The DC2-80U has a basic speed control specific configuration. This model comes with a lot of basic features common to the type of drive. These include but are not limited to using a half-wave field supply while using a shunt wound DC motor and having a voltage rectifier that is full-wave with a half-controlled armature voltage. It has a short circuit, motor load, and line transient protection. It also has remote functions that will allow it to start, stop, and run/jog. Some of the speed control features that this unit possesses include having an adjustable current limit and using a potentiometer to make motor speed adjustments. It can adjust the compensation for an IR drop. It has a 97% controller performance efficiency rating (78% when paired with a motor). This model does not come with torque control.

The DC2-80U is in a NEMA 4/4X/12 style enclosure. This enclosure is meant to be used in an indoor location. It is dust/drip-tight so, it does have the ability to protect the internal drive from splashing/seeping/dripping water and heavy condensation, lint, dust, dirt, and metal filings.  This drive should be kept in temperatures between +32 to +104 Fahrenheit with a relative humidity between 5-95%.
