DC3N-12D-01-010-AN is a Reliance Electric DC3 simple non-regenerative drive. “01” means that the drive is contained in a NEMA 1 enclosure.

All DC3 drives have features and specifications in common. The drive is allowed to operate (without derating) up to an elevation of 3300 ft (1000 m). For every 90 feet above 3300 feet, derate the drive by 1%. At between 0-50 Hz, the maximum vibration is 0.5 G. At above 50 Hz, the maximum vibration is 0.1 G. The ambient temperature range for the enclosed drive must remain between 10 degrees celsius and 40 degrees celsius. The non-condensing relative humidity must remain under 95%. Protect the drive from dirt, moisture, and accidental contact. Do not operate the drive near a heat source. Avoid excessive vibration in order to prevent loose connections. Mount the drive with its board in either a horizontal or vertical plane. The chassis must be earth grounded with a star washer. When wiring the drive, shield the cables and all conductors.

Failure to observe caution warnings may result in severe bodily injury or loss of life. Only authorized personnel may operate or service the drives, particularly when handling the wiring of the drives. To prevent damaging line voltage transients from reaching the drive, install input isolation transformers. These transformers also protect against line noise and potential damaging currents that could develop if a point inside the drive becomes grounded. The drive requires a second heat sink when the continuous armature current is above 5 ADC.
