About the DC3R-12D-00-010-AN
DC3R-12D-00-010-AN is a Reliance Electric DC3 series regenerative drive. “00” means that the drive is contained in a chassis enclosure. The safety certifications for components of the DC3 series include: UL Listed Component, cUL Listed Component, and CE Approved Component. The basic dimensions of the drives are 226 mm x 120 mm x 47 mm. When mounting chassis drives, avoid excess vibrations, heat sources, dirt, moisture, and accidental contact. Six screws are supplied for mounting the chassis with its board either horizontally or vertically. The chassis must be earth grounded for noise suppression.
The cage-clamp terminal block is made for connections to the DC3R drive. The field output is for shunt wound motors only, not for permanent magnet motors. Install the circular insulating disk between the 10 k ohm speed adjust potentiometer and the panel for chassis drives. Instead of using a speed adjust potentiometer, the drive may be wired to follow an isolated 0 to + or minus - 10V signal that is isolated from earth ground. Before applying power to the drive, check connections and selector switches, and verify that no conductive material is present on the printed circuit board. The selector switch settings can only be changed when the drive is disconnected from the AC line voltage.
Further information on installation and operation of the drive can be found in the user manual. Pay attention to all caution and danger warnings in order to avoid potential injury and/or damage to the equipment. Failure to pay attention to electrical risks detailed in the user manual may result in loss of life.
