About the DC3R-12D-4X-010-AN
DC3R-12D-4X-010-AN is a Reliance Electric DC3 series regenerative drive. “4X” means that the drive is contained in a NEMA 12/4/4x enclosure. The enclosure is designed for many different kinds of mounting mounting and provides within itself the appropriate heat sink, so there is no need for another heat sink.
The maximum armature is 10.0 DC amps. The HP range with 115 VAC applied is between ¼ and 1. The HP range with 230 VAC applied is ½ to 2. The maximum armature current and horsepower range apply when the drive is attached to additional heat sink. Use the heat sink when the armature current is above 7 ADC. DC3R enclosed drives come with their heat sinks pre-mounted. These are single-phase drives. The maximum allowable symmetrical AC line current is 5000 A. The armature voltage with a 115 VAC input applied is 0-90 VDC. The armature voltage with a 230 VAC input applied is 0-180. The form factor is 1.27 at base speed, and the service factor is 1. The maximum load is 1 minute at 150%.
When mounting enclosed drives, vertically mount the enclosure using the four provided mounting screws. For motor loads less than than ADC, the drive may be operated without mounting or bench mounted horizontally. All enclosed drives have sufficient heat sinking in their basic configurations. The LED lights on the drive indicate the drive status, wherein GREEN indicates that the drive power is ON and RED indicates that there is a current limit.
