The unit identified by 0-49005 is a Reliance Electric CARDPAK Linear Voltage Timer Unit (D595827). CARDPAK systems have been discontinued by Reliance Electric, but are still available today through our wide variety of inventory options. The CARDPAK system was an engineered DC Drive system from Reliance in the same vein as their MaxPak and FlexPak series of series and Regenerative DC drives. Many of these products are also available through AX Control.
The 0-49005 Linear Voltage Timer Unit is designed to time or regulate the voltage across output terminals using a closed feedback loop. The unit can respond to changes in load quickly, and essentially works as a kind of step-down converter. The bottom of the 0-49005 has a leading edge of one circuit board extruding from the product case. This allows for connection to other Reliance parts. The case of the unit has two variable dials on its front faceplate and also includes several openings along its top edge to allow for heat exchange.
