The Reliance Electric component designated as 0-51829-1 functions as an LVTB circuit board, otherwise known as a Linear Voltage Timing Card. Cards like this one are used to maintain a constant voltage across output terminals. This is done using step-down converters and pass transistors. Since pass transistors dissipate power, they also give off this power as wasted heat. The pass transistor on this board can be found toward the center of the board, surrounded by black cooling fins that help dissipate this heat and keep the transistor at a proper operating temperature.
The 0-51829-1 board includes an attached front faceplate. This connects to the circuit board using two screw connections. The board allows the module to be easily mounted within a power rack and secured in place using the two screws located on the faceplate. The faceplate also includes two variable dials, and a single connector plate (located at the bottom of the faceplate).
