About the 0-51831-7
0-51831-7 CVTH Current Voltage Transductor
The 0-51831-7 is a printed circuit board fabricated by Reliance Electric. The same board may appear as manufactured by Asea Brown Boveri or Baldor Reliance; the part number is the same.
The 0-51831-7 functions as a Current-Voltage Transductor board. This product has been discontinued by the manufacturer. Transductors are used in power systems as magnetic amplifiers for reactive power compensation.
The 0-51831-7 is built with a front faceplate designed with four screw connections (+org 421, -blk 420, +org 37, -blk 137) that have a small removable clamping plate held on by two additional screws. The left side of the panel is labeled arm/current/shunt field/current/shunt. It also carries the board number and the Reliance logo along with a user caution: “If card is replaced, range tap(s) must be properly set. Refer to I/M or W/D.”
The circuit board attached to the front faceplate is also marked with the 0-51831-7 part number. The board has a large protective plate covering two-thirds of its surface, mounted to the PCB using standoffs and screws. A transistor is mounted to the top of this plate. Additionally, four wires thread through a drilled hole in the plate’s surface and terminate at screw mounts on the top surface.
The 0-51831-7 uses components like transformers, transistors, surface wiring, diodes, and metal film resistors. Capacitors tend to be made from aluminum electrolytic material. Not all components are marked with reference designators. Please refer to Reliance publications like manuals or user guides for more information.
