About the 0-51839-9
0-51839-9 IRCK Relay PCB
The 0-51839-9 is a PCB (printed circuit board) manufactured by Reliance Electric. Now obsolete, some of these boards are marked with names like “Baldor Reliance” or “ABB” (Asea Brown Boveri,) depending on the year of their production. The part number should remain the same across name changes.
The 0-51839-9 has a front faceplate that locks the product into place using two turn screws. These are located at the top and bottom of the faceplate. The front panel also has a reset button and a single light indicator that states below it “overload when light is on.” The front panel connects to the PCB via three screws threaded through from the bottom of the PCB.
The 0-51839-9 is populated by four relays, transistors, disk capacitors, capacitors of aluminum electrolytic and polyester vinyl, resistors, diodes, and integrated circuits. The board uses surface wiring at several points. Some surface wiring is point-to-point on the board, and some surface wiring connects components to the board or to the front panel.
The back edge of the board is designed with a conductive tail that functions as a backplane. The board itself is marked in a grid pattern. This is marked off by fives on one edge and lettered on another edge. More information about the board can be accessed through Reliance publications (manuals/user guides.) Reliance was originally responsible for all technical support for this board series.
