0-51864-2 Current Gate Summing Card CGSC

The CGSC printed circuit board component, board number 0-51864-2, is a component fabricated by Reliance Electric.  It is possible your component may have the logo/manufacturer mark from Baldor-Reliance or from ABB/Asea Brown Boveri depending on the year of its release.  The part number should remain the same in all these instances.

The 0-51864-2 functions as a Current Gate Summing Board.  It has two rotary dials located on the left side of its front faceplate.  These dials connect to potentiometers that are located on the attached printed circuit board.  The faceplate also has a push-button reset switch, a red LED indicator labeled “IED,” and a bank of screw connections along the bottom right edge.  These connections are labeled 56, 161, 219, 71, 162, and 519. These screw connections wire into the board using black wires.

The circuit board portion of the 0-51864-2 is marked on its surface with an overlying grid pattern.  The back portion of the circuit board is taken up by a metal framework made of two metal uprights and three cross braces.  This framework supports three auxiliary boards mounted to the motherboard at a ninety-degree angle. This includes a 0-52017 IET relay board and a 0-52017-1  IET comparator board. These boards include transistors, capacitors, resistors, integrated circuits, and diodes. The primary board of the 0-51864-2 has integrated circuits, transistors, resistors, capacitors, and several instances of surface wiring.
