0-51890-3 DPSD Power Supply 115 VAC Input

The 0-51890-3 is a Reliance Electric board and faceplate module designed for use within the company’s drives.  This module typically comes from Reliance Electric, but in some cases, it may originate from either Asea Brown Boveri/ABB or from Baldor-Reliance.  The part will reflect the 51890-3 in all cases.

The 0-51890-3 is a Power Supply board (115 VAC Input.)   The module has a wide faceplate that includes two LED indicators that are simply labeled as “A” and “B.” These are located above an armature “on” switch. The front panel also includes a terminal strip with four positions.  This terminal strip has a smaller cover that screw mounts to its surface. The four terminals are numbered from one to four.  The entire terminal strip is labeled “115 V.A.C. Input.”

The 0-51890-3 is populated by a transformer component.   Screws connect this to the board’s surface. It has a bipolar transistor mounted to a board that is connected to the primary board at a 90-degree angle.  The board also has an additional auxiliary board (0-51890-3) mounted to its surface using standoffs and screw mounts. There are four large polyester vinyl capacitors located on the motherboard under this component The 0-51890-3 auxiliary is populated by CCR and metal film resistors, two potentiometers, transistors, and capacitors of various materials.  The board communicates with the motherboard via several surface wire connections that connect from the board’s edge to a terminal strip located on the back edge of the primary board.
