0-51893-7 Field Regulator Controller FCCC

The 0-51893-7 is a multi-board module component manufactured by Reliance Electric for use within the company’s drive systems.  

The 0-51893-7 functions as a Field Regulator Controller Module.   The board is fronted by a wide faceplate. The faceplate is a double-wide piece with a twelve-screw terminal strip down its center.   This is covered by its own cover with corresponding drill holes. The terminal screws are labeled top to bottom as 181, 182, (none), 235, 57, F2, (none), 500V, 240V, 120V, COM, (none), and (none.)  Screw connections connect to various wires that connect to the board. These connect to the board through an opening in the front panel located to the side of the terminal strip. The faceplate also has an opening labeled “Max arm volts” and another labeled “Stab.”

The  0-51893-7 is comprised of multiple boards.  This includes the 0-48651-2 board, which is populated by wire-wound and metal film resistors.  The board also has transistors, capacitors, and multiple surface wire components, including several that end in stab-on female connectors. It has a large transformer located on its front edge.  The board’s surface is printed with a grid pattern. A second board used in this module is a 0-48650-2 board. This board has a metal rack system connected to its rear edge. This is designed to hold ninety-degree auxiliary cards in place.  The rear edge of this card has a line of eight stab-on connectors. Additional stab-on connectors are located elsewhere on the board.
