About the 0-51899-2
0-51899-2 Extender Control Module Test Card
The 0-51899-2 is a long and narrow board component manufactured by Reliance Electric for use within their various drive systems. This board is typically marked with a Reliance logo but in some cases may be marked with a manufacturer mark from Baldor-Reliance or one from ABB, otherwise known as Asea Brown Boveri.
The 0-51899-2 functions as a Control Module Extender Card. Extender Cards allow access for testing without the need to remove or insert boards; this prevents possible damage during repeated processes. The 0-51899-2 has a connector located on one edge of the board designed from conductive tabs. This connector extends from the board edge like a tab or tail. Each conductive tab on its surface connects to a trace located on the board’s surface. Traces then extend across the board’s surface to brass pins located across approximately two thirds of the board’s length. There are four lines of pins. Each pin is individually numbered from one to forty-four. The line of pins closest to the conductive tail is numbered two through twenty-two (even numbers only.) The second line is numbered one through twenty-one (odd only.) The third line of pins is numbered twenty-four through forty-four (even only.) The last line of pins is numbered twenty-three through forty-three (odd only.) Each pin is connected by a black wire across a rectangular opening in the board to a right-angled multi-pin male connector located on the left edge of the board. This connector is screw mounted to the board’s surface by two brass screws. Each wire connection is numbered one through forty-four. There are no other components on the board surface.
More information on the use of the 0-51899-2 board may be found through Reliance publications like user guides or manuals. Please follow all safety and handling procedures.
