About the 0-52808
0-52808 OLVA Static Overload Voltage Relay Board
The 0-52808 is a circuit board and faceplate manufactured by Reliance. This is most often used in Reliance drive systems. Due to changes in company structure, this board may be notated as being a Baldor-Reliance component, or possibly from ABB, also known as Asea Brown Boveri. The 52808 number will still be reflected in the part id number.
The 0-52808 is a Static Overload Voltage Relay Board. The faceplate has a ten-position terminal strip along its right edge that has its own cover screwed into its ends. The screw connections of the terminal strip are individually numbered and labeled. Screws 1 and 2 are labeled Calib. Screws 5, 6, and 7 are labeled OL. Screws 8, 9, and 10 are labeled VR. The faceplate also has a reset switch and two red LED indicators that are labeled VR RELAY ON and OVERLOAD. These components wire into the board using, most often using surface wiring.
The 0-52808 has two relays located near its front edge. It has eight disk capacitors and other capacitors made of electrolytic material and polyester vinyl. The board has several transistors. It uses metal film resistors and has several diodes on its surface. The back edge of the board is fashioned into a conductive backplane connector. The surface of the board has been printed with a grid pattern. One axis is denoted by numbers by fives while the other uses letters.
If more information about the board is desired, especially detailed information regarding board operation or installation, please refer to publications from Reliance. This includes such items as product manuals, user guides, and data sheets.
