About the 0-52840-44
0-52840-44 CCC Card Module
The 0-52840-44 is a Reliance board component fabricated to be used in the company’s various drives. In some cases, this component could originate from Baldor-Reliance or from ABB (Asea Brown Boveri.) The part number will always include the 52840-44 number, regardless of manufacturer.
The 0-52840-44 functions as a CCC Card Module. It has a narrow faceplate attached to the front edge of its board component using three screws. The faceplate includes eight rotary dials connected to potentiometers located on the board’s surface. Of these dials, seven of them can be set from zero to ten. These are labeled 1p, rate, stab, ref cal, tach cal, max arm volt, and fld cur. The remaining dial, labeled ‘zero’ moves on a +/- scale. The faceplate also includes the manufacturer’s logo and a screw at the top and bottom of the panel to lock the board into place within the rack system.
The surface of the 0-52840-44 is marked off into several individual boxes. These are labeled as, for example, Max Spd. Tach V, Overload, Current Limit, Current Loop, Jog, Function, or Major Loop Compensate. Boxes may be populated by metal film resistors, by capacitors made from polyester vinyl, ceramic material or out of other materials, or by fields of metal pin components. Surface wiring is used to connect these pins in several locations. The board’s surface is drilled in many locations within its body to allow for secondary support of larger components.
