The 0-52859-2 functions as a Digital Voltage Source Sequence Board.  It is connected used three screws to a front faceplate with multiple components.  These include a bank of screw connections located in its bottom half, three green LED indicators, and a single red LED indicator.  The red LED is labeled IET. The green LEDs are labeled Run, Fwd/Rev, and Fl. The front faceplate also has two screw connections that allow the component to lock into place within the rack system.   

The board portion of the  0-52859-2 is populated with four relay components.  Each of these has a relay diagram printed on its top surface.  The board has twenty-two integrated circuits, including inverter chips and high-performance analog operational amplifiers.   Other components include transistors, metal film resistors, diodes, ceramic capacitors, and ceramic disk capacitors. Reference designators are rarely used on this PCB; instead, the surface of the board is printed with a grid pattern across the entire surface of the board.   The rear edge of the circuit board extends in a sort of tail covered in conductive tabs. This functions as a type of backplane connector.
